Comfort Pub Fare and Creative New Cuisine.
Toby’s Social House is a North Vancouver restaurant with a difference. Our combination of comfort pub fare and new, interesting menu items sets us apart. Even with a full list of favourites we’re continually adding new menu items to keep things interesting and satisfying for a variety of preferences and palettes.
Our food is all about quality first, and our chef has worked diligently to create culinary delights. And quality always starts with the ingredients. We only use the best ingredients, and we make all our own dips, sauces and accoutrements such as Toby’s famous chipotle aioli, bbq sauce and caramelized onions.
We believe strongly in supporting our local food producers and we follow through by buying locally sourced meats and vegetables whenever possible. Our meats are sourced from local farms and we base our menu around seasonal availability, whenever possible buying produce when it’s fresh and in season from local growers.
One of our customer favourites is Toby’s signature flatbreads, served all day, every day. Our Chicken Flatbread, features Zaatar brushed Flatbread with BBQ sauce, Spiced & Pulled Cajun Chicken, avocado chunks and Cajun Aioli drizzle. And for the vegans, our Tomato & Artichoke Flatbread features Pesto Alfredo Sauce, Shredded Marble Cheese, Red Onion, Artichokes, Roasted Cherry Tomatoes, Balsamic Cream Drizzle and Fresh Basil.

Toby’s Social House is the North Vancouver restaurant for lunch. For those craving the classic pub fare for lunch, there’s the Soup of the Week. Or try our French Onion Soup, the most delicious on the Shore, made with house-made beef broth, rusk and Swiss cheese. Sandwiches like the classic Club, with brined & roasted turkey breast, bacon, lettuce, tomato, smoked cheddar and chipotle aioli on toasted multigrain are sure to satisfy a midday appetite.
For those that prefer a lighter lunch option to the pub-style fare, Toby’s Salad with seasonal artisan greens, pomegranate dressing, red onion, carrots, cucumber, cherry tomatoes and avocado chunks hits the spot. For those with a larger appetite, we have the New Orleans Blue Burger with caramelized onions, tomato, lettuce, pickle, Swiss cheese and Cajun blue cheese Aioli. Or Steak Frites; a 6 oz broiled striploin with red wine demi-glace, blue cheese chive butter and accompanied by beer battered fries, just to highlight a few.
We also feature scrumptious add-ons to our salads: garlic prawns or grilled cheese breast, so whether you prefer a quick meal, or a more leisurely stay, at Toby’s we’ve got you covered.
At Toby’s Social House, there are the classic breakfast items such as two eggs, any style served with bacon, country sausage, or ham, or Eggs Benedict with poached eggs on a toasted English muffin with sliced back bacon and house made Hollandaise sauce. There are also more interesting selections such as Toby’ Cajun breakfast fajitas, spiced with Cajun, peppers, onions, corn, scrambled eggs, marble cheese, and Cajun remoulade drizzle served with salsa and sour cream. Brunch is served every weekend from 11am to 2pm. There’s a reason why Toby’s Social House has become one of the best brunch locations on the North Shore…it has everything to do with a laid back vibe that sets the mood for some delicious food
Happy Hour at Toby’s Social House is truly pub fare, elevated. The snacks we offer are perfect starters or they can pull their weight as meals on their own. Of course, we have the pub standards such as chicken wings, done as you like, with either salt and pepper, hot sauce, teriyaki sauce, sweet chilli, barbeque sauce or honey garlic. And the dry ribs we deep fry and serve with a soy ginger dipping sauce. Package those with our happy hour lager (1516) or Sleeman’s Honey Brown Lager, and you have an economical, yet delicious afternoon.
For those that have a taste for adventure, we have some culinary treats such as Toby’s famous Deep-Fried Pickles: dill pickles breaded in a house-made dorito blend and served with ranch dressing; Jalapeno Poppers, deep fried jalapenos served with bacon cream cheese and house-made chipotle aioli; and for those that prefer vegetarian, we have Cauliflower Bites, served with salt and pepper, hot sauce, teriyaki sauce, sweet chilli, barbeque sauce or honey garlic sauce, all with house made roasted garlic aioli. Also, always on special for happy hour are our highballs, anything you can mix with vodka, gin, rum or rye, and our feature red and white wines.
Dinner at Toby’s Social House offers something for everyone, from nibbles and appies, soups & salads, sandwiches, fish, steaks, pasta and burgers.
What makes Toby’s different is our unique, elevated pub fare. Dishes like our roast beef stuffed yorkies are made with shaved beef striploin, au jus, horseradish aioli, and fried onions. They bring people from all over the Shore who come just for their weekly Yorkshire pudding.
Our perogies are also a house favourite: they are pan seared, filled with bacon & Romano cheese, and served with caramelized onions and dill cream. And to take the classic french fry to another level, we’re serving Truffle Fries, beer battered and fried with truffle oil, parmigiano reggiano, and house made black garlic aioli.
On the lighter front, we serve a Caesar salad that is definitely “Not your Mother’s Caesar Salad” made with baby kale/romaine, fried capers, Parmigiano Reggiano and Croutons. For those craving a more substantial dinner, we offer club sandwiches, two linguine pasta dishes, fish ‘n’ chips and steak frites. And no menu is complete without a burger. Our New Orleans Blue Burger is what sets us apart but the classic Toby’s burger, and Buffalo Chicken burger keep our customers coming back.
And there’s always the option to order just a side if you’re not in the mood for a large meal: beer battered fries, yam fries and chipotle aioli, and onion rings are all culinary delights that are as simple as they are delicious.
Toby’s Social House is all about bringing the comfort of home into a place away from home, where you can safely gather with friends and enjoy the very best beers and coolers, highballs, wine and sparkling beverages.
